No pain, no gain

Whoa, I forgot how hard exercising could be, especially when your body hasn't done much moving in a while. I just finished doing a 15 minute aerobic routine following Gilad on Fit TV. Then I lifted 5 pound hand weights, doing 2 sets of 8 reps for biceps, triceps, back, and chest. Whew. That doesn't really sound like a lot, but it's a lot for me right now. *wipes brow* I'm trying to establish a routine of doing some form of exercise every day for at least 20 minutes. So far, so good. Getting my body to move will be much easier when the weather warms up because I love to walk and plan on doing a lot of it this year.

We watched "New Amsterdam," last night. I'm not sure what to say about it except that I thought it was so, so. I didn't think there was anything spectacular about it, but I plan on watching it again.

On American Idol: I thought the worst performances were by Luke Menard and Danny Noriega. I'd kind of hate to see Danny go though because he cracks me up. He's got just enough attitude going on to be funny without being annoying. (yet) Tonight the girls get to sing.

Thanks for coming out of 'lurk mode' to leave a comment at Small Reflections so I could find your blog. I love your avatar ... and I'm proud of you for exercising. I need to get myself back into the gym routine sometime soon.

I recorded New Amsterdam but haven't watched it yet ... I did watch Idol and thought the same as you, but I hope Danny gets to stay.
Hugs and blessings,

I read your profile and it's too funny!! I purchase "Left Brain Right Brain" about a month ago and have been trying to teach myself to draw -- to look at the world differently, really!

And, oh my, do I need to exercise. Later.

Storyteller: Aw, thanks. Your avatar is cute too. :D Getting back into a daily workout routine is hard. It's much too easy to find something else to do that doesn't require so much awful physical labor. lol

PJ: I have this love/hate relationship going with learning to draw. I go for a couple weeks straight of practicing each day, then all of a sudden I want nothing more to do with drawing for a week or two. Go figure. Ah well, I'm not going to push myself because once something becomes a chore it isn't fun anymore.

magsblog: Until 5 years ago, I worked out every day plus I walked 5-8 miles a day. I fell out of the habit, as I got more and more addicted to sitting in front of my computer, working on writing stories and making web pages. :( Hopefully, this year I'll get back into a good exercise routine again.
